Probably a bad torque converter lock up solenoid...

Try starting it in neutral, and putting it in drive without your foot on the brake (I know the car will take off in quite a hurry if it doesn't stall but it's an easy way to check for this)

If it doesn't stall, apply the brakes, and if it stalls then, it definitely is a bad lockup.

I don't know if you're familiar with the torque converter function/operation, but where it is a fluid (liquid) and not solid coupling with the engine, lockup is used at certain road speeds/engine RPMs to get rid of the power loss that always occurs between the pump and the turbine of the torque converter. It mechanically (through transmission oil pressure) locks both parts of the converter together so it then acts like the engine crankshaft is bolted right to the input shaft of the automatic transmission.

But, as you might imagine, this system has to unlock the converter when you apply the brakes for the same reason applying brakes without the clutch on a manual transmission stalls the engine.

Bad lockup solenoid will cause this to happen... The converter stays in lockup and as soon as you try to stop the vehicle, you also stop (stall) the engine.

It also might be something else but I'd say I'm about 90% sure on this one.

SOURCE: starting fine, driving fine, but dies while going down the road

Next time disconnect the negative and not the positive if it ever happens again. This happened due to the PCM needing to be reset.

2016 kia sportage ,then the temp is in the teens, battery drains car will not start battery .

If you are making short trips, perhaps using power accessories, etc. Your battery will lose its reserves. You may want to put it on a charger once and a while. Also when a battery gets older it will start to die in cold weather. I expect about 7 or so years out of my batteries. As you say yours is less than a year old....so there may be a charging problem.....get it checked if short trips and draining it with acc. is not happening.

2002 F-150 regular cab. Idling seems like it wanted to die. While driving would rev up and down wanting to die. Finally died at a red light and had to be towed home. In the driveway it acts like a dead...

From what you describe, it sounds like your alternator died. The battery's main function is to provide power to start the vehicle. Once started, the alternator takes over and provides the main source of power to the truck, and also recharges the battery.
When the alternator stops working, the car starts to run solely off the battery. It will work for a little while, but as the battery starts to lose power, strange things will happen with the electronics. The computers and other electronics that control the vehicle are very dependent on a constant, steady flow of voltage. When that voltage dips below 11 or 10 volts, the car may start to run badly or strange things may happen with electrical system.
When there was finally not enough power to keep the car running, it shut off. Of course, once this happens, there will not be enough power left to start the truck back up.

My jeep shutdown all power while i was driving and would not start

Beginning with the battery, make sure everything is clean and properly connected. Use a volt meter and begin tracing power from where it starts (the battery posts themselves) then work your way through the system.
Begin with a fully charged load tested battery or no testing is valid.
Most common problems are dirty battery terminals or a bad ground connection at the block. Other possibility is that the alternator is not working and there is nothing left (volts) in the battery. There ar quite a number of other causes but the ones I mentioned are the most common.
Good luck....any further questions? ask and I'll help.

Manual Transmission stick jammed after BRAKE Light ON for a day. 2002 Kia Sportage ONLY drives in 4th gear. Mechanic says Brake Fluid in Kia Sportage Lubes and Cools Manual Transmission? Might have gone...

Need more info on what the trans is doing , or not doing. No chance that brake fluid cools or lubes your transmission. The only possible connection is that your clutch is hydraulic which would use brake fluid , but two totaly different systems. Does your clutch feel funny?
