Engine won't start unless aim remote and press unlock again, remote won't unlock hatch, when starting or stopping the engine the doors lock and unlock.

the lock actuator is binding/hanging up, replace it and lube the linkages this should cure that problem....hope this helps...let me know...GL

you may have to disconnect the battery for a minute or so ,this will reset the alarm. check your remote it does have a battery in it. otherwise you have to look for a fuse somewhere under the dash close to the fuse box.each one is diff. depending if it original toyota or aftermarket alarm.

the actuator might have been disconnected from the lock, its attached inside the door, with a metal rod that clips into the actuator, check it out, might be a easy fix, good luck and god bless, please rate me!

I forgot to add that I have the same problem starting the engine the way I explained above even if I haven't locked the car prior to getting in to start it.
you may have certification ECU issues or battery issues. the vehicle will have stored error codes that a dealer can easily pull so you're not wasting time or $.
