Can I reset limp/Detroit lights on Mercedes 220cdi

you may not be avail to disable, actually let me re-frame that, when the light is on the system is disable, limp mode.
is hard to do with out a scanner, but if you have one, replace your brake switch, and reset the light. the brake switch controls the ASR/ BAS/ STABILITY CONTROL/ THE CRIUSE CONTROL. CHANGE IT WILL FIX YOUR CAR.

Could be a loss of fuel pressure when stopped . fuel pump stop valve letting fuel back to the tank or faulty fuel pressure regulator at the fuel rail letting fuel return to the tank.

WHEN YOUR VEHICLE GOES INTO LIMP MODE IT INDICATES A PROBLEM THAT NEEDS ATTENTION CAN BE TRANS OR ENGINE TRY TURNING SWITCH OFF AT A STOP AND GO AGAIN WITHOUT HOTRODDING IT. THERE ARE TIMES WHEN WIPING AROUND DANGEROUSLY IT WILL GO INTO LIMP MODE.

have you looked at the heater plugs if these have gone or any part of this system its a pig to get a diesel started

Called roadside and they said it's the central locking system. Went to the parts department and they said it's the door latch. It has to be brought in to tell which is the actual problem. If it's a latch I can't tell which door it is and I don't really want to take it in and pay $200 for them to tell me.

the noise is comeing from the ujoints look for the ones that dont have the grease fitings does are the ones you need to replace hope this helps
