You could try striping and cleaning the caliper then rebuilding it if you are able to get a kit to replace the rubber parts and pistons that are damaged

hi its rare the pads stick to the rotor but obviously this one was welded metal to metal so if the other sides not down to the metal you won,t have the same problem now getting the piston back into the caliper if you don,t have the tool its going to be fiddling but you need to get some pressure on the piston as to shove it back in not to much as you have stated it has to be screwed back in once a pressure has been applied [could try using you c-clamp ] then the slots in the piston insert something that will turn the piston it will locate and start to screw back your going to need pateince as it is fiddling with the correct tool you may need a few attemps but the other side should not be as bad as the piston has not gone past the point of return take your time and check for leaks when you have them all assembled yates210456

Use a caliper wind back tool which rotates the piston at the same time as pushing it back. Release the bleed screw to assist the wind back. If you use a brake hose clamp on the brake hose this will reduce the need to bleed the system.

I'm assuming all of the brake lights are on? If so there is a brake light switch located way up under the dash that hits on the arm for your brake pedal. If this is not "closed" when the pedal is up (not depressed), your brake lights will stay on. It is adjustable.
SOURCE: Rear disc brakes drag after installing new pads
Just did my rear brakes this weekend, Monday had a very slight drag. Noted that when I installed new pads I had to tap them on. That shouldn't be. When brakes are released, there should be enough play to allow the pads to back off the disc. Tonight, I removed the pads and filed down the ends of the tips that go into the top and bottom channels until I could install and remove them with fingertips, that gives them enough play to grab and release. Drag disappeared; the old girl ran like she should.
