SOURCE: new battery, radio won't work
Hi.
Go to your local dealer and ask them to unlock the radio, changing the battery or removing any post from the battery will render theft deterrent radios to the locked state.
And your dealer has the key needed to unlock the radio.

You likely blew a fuse for your lights. Here is a wiring diagram for the original radio.

IF when you purchased your car you didn't set your own personal code you will have to take this to your local GM dealer and they can pull the code that is set at the factory and unlock your radio.THe proceedure for setting your own code then unlocking radio is in your owners manual. The dealership I worked for did this for free.
SOURCE: problem with 1993 cadillac deville sss light comes
This problem only exists on cars with the electronic suspension option. Service SSS light comes on when the valving motor in the strut fails to move as commanded. This is usually signs of a failing strut. If you clear the code, it may function OK for a time but its days are probably numbered. New replacements are only available through GM and may run in excess of $500 each. Cadillac service bulletin # 00-03-11-001A has details of replacing these with standard struts and disabling the SSS computer.
SOURCE: clock doesn't work. I put in an after market radio
Did the clock stop working immediately after the radio install? If so then it sounds like a fuse may have blown. If not then it is most likely a clock issue. I have 4runner clock removal instructions at my website: www.autoclockrepair.com
