Reset button on 2003envoy ti put in gear - 2003 GMC Envoy

Press the unlock button on your vehicle's key fob to deactivate the alarm.

If you've misplaced your remote for the car, use the PATS programmed key to unlock the driver's side door.

Then, put the key in the ignition and turn the key to the "on" position. The vehicle's battery should be on, but the engine shouldn't be running.

Locate the override button on the alarm box, beneath the driver's side of the dashboard.

Press the button and hold it in until the alarm beeps one time. The LED light for the alarm should stop blinking, indicating the anti-theft system is disabled.

To reset the vehicle's alarm, put the PATS programmed key in the ignition and turn the key to the "on" position. Press the override button.

When the alarm resets, it chirps two times and the LED light begins blinking.

No it will need to be fixed. The Envoy was known for this problem and will need to go to a Trannie shop unless you are capable of doing repair yourself. Inside the case the bearing is shot. Either rebuild that one or get a good used one and swap it out

If you can hear something turning but your engine is not cranking over either your drive gear on your starter motor is sticking and not engaging or your starter drive and/or flywheel ring gear teeth are worn away. Remove your starter motor and chech the drive gear can be moved. If ti is sticking wind it down and spray it with wd40. Don't be tempted to put grease on it. If it is a pre-engaged motor it could be gear wear or sticking mechanism.

Did you bleed the slave cylinder? Also, check pedal free play (about 1/2 inch) and pedal height (not sure on your Rav, you'll have to check with Toyota).
Only first gear, or difficulty going into all gears?

If this is a manual transmission ,then the clutch master,or the clutch slave is by-passing,and,or leaking and causing the problem,or the clutch pedal axle bushing has worn out.

NEED TO CHECK IGNITION COILS WIRES HOOK UP.CHECK THE COIL WIRES ELECTRICAL CONNECTOR MAKE SURE IT HAS GOOD CONNECTION AND ALL COILS GETTING GROUND.

disconnecet battery for while see if that will reset it some times this works

I have had this problem

put key in ignition (do not turn on) and press the trip button for about 30 seconds.

This should reset your speedometer

If one hits the trip button with the engine off it goes into a diagnostic mode and the speedometer pegs out. This basically lets it finish the diagnostics.

Dealer will charge you $800 for a 3 minute job.

I have had two others reset theirs for the same problem.

Check for excesssive drag on the clutch (specially if hydraulic clutch actuator)

you need a gear puller to pull the gear off. but to change the seal for the crankshaft, you only remove the timing gear and change the seal on the cover that you removed. there is nor need to pull the gear itself. if you pull the gear, you still can't change any other bearings or seals without removing the heads and manifold.
