My 07 Chrysler 300 will not get over 35mph and I have to manually change the gears what is causing this

check all fuses
then scan the PCm
and stop gue$$ing.
there are lots of tests in the shop manual
2nd gear stuck can be tranny limphome, and is begging you to scan it but do not?
or ask a shop to diagnose it.

Fitting a manual transmission would be favourite or you could ask an auto expert to doctor the existing transmission. Trouble is you can't do much without causing lots of fault codes.

Remember reading somewhere, professional bi-directional diagnostic software can change the transmission parameters and even select and hold a particular gear...
It was a warning that was attached to some software that advised users to be careful not to select a low gear while travelling at high speed as it would cause embarrassing and lengthy interviews with irate customers...

If the car won't move but you can hear the transmission shift gears, something has broken where the drive axle shafts connect to the transmission.

Yes the engine has to be out,its not a easy task to replace transmission.You will required professional tools and wrench/ratchets.
Also its very time consuming.

Sounds to me that you need your trans fluid changed and filter. When you do change it use a quart of Lucas transmission conditioner to it. Also check and see if you may have a bad univercel, It will also make it vibrate at faster speeds or your drive shaft may need to be rebalanced.

Most part places will have manual's.

Code - P0732 - Gear 2 incorrect ratio.
Transmission problem. Could be a sensor, I would reset computer see if it come's back, if it does have it check out could cause major damage if not taken care of.
