or go to alldata.com and rear the page covering the TCM.

TSM is the tranny shifting brain box.
on some cars its moved to the confines of the ECU and renamed PCM. but its still there, the TCM brain.

search around for auto recyclers via a google search. find one with a searchable inventory, they are out there. marshall's in circleville, ohio is one. search for a transmission for a 99 isuzu trooper and for a 01 trooper transmission. if they have the same interchange part number, you are good to go. if not, you will find certainly one that is.

Don't change the trans fluid,it will slip worse. Fluid changes, only replace heat dispersants and corrosive additives and DOES NOT FIX ANYTHING.
If it is slipping and 9 years old,you may have a chance to find any issues and correct it. Visit a trans shop. Most likely, it will need to be rebuilt,as it is near the end of it's first in service use cycle.

as far as your battery problem you have an open circuit somwhere to hard to diagnose w/out seeing it. transmission problem I reccomend you change the fluid and filter and go from there

have it serviced and while they are in there have them look for excessive metal shavings the problem could be the torque converter or see if the shifting bands can be adjusted if not the trans probably needs to be rebuilt.....sorry

sounds like you trans is slipping might need a rebuild by the sounds of it

Isuzu changed trooper models in 1998-99 if yours is the older type then 1992-98 if the newer type then 99-05
