Heating and Air Conditioning Specifications, Capacities: Refrigerant System Capacities (V5 System)
-Are you talking about air conditioning...?
-The fan works but not cold air at all ? that is what you asked?
-If so. then the Freon is very low or no more. Check for leak and fix before refill Freon.
First things first.....You must have the air conditioning system hooked up to an a/c system machine and then checked for leaks and also read low and high side pressures. If there are leaks then low Freon (R134a) content and low refrigerant oil can cause the a/c system to not engage the a/c compressor which basically means you will not have proper defrost functionality nor regular air conditioning. Most shops, when working with your air conditioning, will install air conditioning dye to assist them in locating leaks and is the first step in diagnosing all a/c systems. Post the findings after thw
is freon level correct. does compressor come on when turned to cold? if it doesn't freon may be low or compressor may be bad. theres also an outside possibilty of the control being bad.
hmmm maybe a bad compressor bearly giving what it has left till it dies? if your getting cold air then there is not freon leak i would think. its gonna cost you. you gotta take it in to some pros. ac stuff is never simple unless its low on freon. are you hearing a loud scratchy sound while its on coming from the compressor?
