Please check the plastic plug connector to the headlight lamp. They can get quite warm and when a poor connection is present.... a lot of heat is generated through the bad connections and this tends to melt the plastic plug. All contacts should be clean and tight to the lamp contact posts. It is also possible that the new lamp has failed.

It's a recall issue the dealer will fix for free! Bad break switch/sensor. Pump the pedal really HARD as you press the start button. She'll start for you unless you've let it go so long the switch is totally shot!
