If someone worked on your engine and now it doesn't even start I would be talking to whoever did the engine work. If you know you don't have a dead battery the first easy thing to check is your neutral safety swich. Hold the key in the starting position with one hand and move the gear shift form park to neutral. Be sure to have your foot on the brake when you do this, it could start in reverse.

My 2000 bravada oldsmobile wont start is it the sartaer

It depends upon what actually happens when you turn the key. If the engine turns over, but doesn't start, it is NOT the starter. If all you hear is a clicking sound, or the starter motor engages but doesn't have the power to turn it over, then it could be wither the starter or the battery. A quick and easy check when this happens is to turn on the interior light. If, when you turn the key and get the click or no activity, the interior light dims way down or goes completely out, it is probably the battery. If you turn the key and get nothing at all, things are more difficult. The interior lamp test should be performed. If the light goes out immediately, try the battery. If the light doesn't flicker or dim at all, then the problem could be the starter, the starter relay, the Park/Neutral Position (PNO) switch, the ignition switch, or the IGN E (Fuse 22) or IGN A (Fuse 34) fuse in the fuse block under the hood.

My starter turns low. i checked every thing the batter is good, the charging is good, what is wrong? if i change the stater is it hard to put on?

sounds like we need a starter motor current draw test to evaluate ur starters condition.this can b done at any shop w a charging an starting system analyzer.if ur stater is drawing more than250 amps to325a or even higher amperage draw ur starter motor is bad..on a northstar the starter is under ur intake manifold, not an easy job,if u have the other caddy motor then starter can b changed from under car. not too bad to change,on a lift of course

Where is the low pressure valve for the recharging the air conditioner on a 97 Olds Bravada?

it is located between the compressor and the accumulator. the quick disconnect valve is smaller than the high pressure valve so you can't make a mistake using the single recharging hose.

I need to know if there is a fuel censor for a 1997 olds.bravada and if so where is it located.

No safety if that is what you meant. Car not starting likely a bad fuel pump, common on Bravada / S10s. Try "thepartsladi" on eBay for low cost OEM part.

Have a 1997 olds bravada with 4.3 eng. trans. works fine when cold but goes out of gear as eng. temp. goes to norm. will only go back into gear when eng. is cold. can i get any thoughts on this?

If the trans is not wore out or a crack in the internal housing of the trans, change the fluid and filter.Use recomended atf fluid, and add a additive called lube gaurd. You can find it at NAPA auto parts. This is a real good additive for the valve body, witch I beleive ,and you hope, that I fixes your problem. The problem would be the valve body is sticking, and heat makes it worse,if this does not work,a trans overhaul is to be expected.

Possible Cracked Head

stumble or missfire..rough running and weak power under load.... get a compression and leak down test to be sure ...good luck...also a radiator pressure tester can assure you you are not leaching water into something or have external leak

1997 Chevy Lumina Starter

Pretty straightforeward job... Attach the harness to the starter (battery disconnected of course) The wires are usually joined and only go on one way (ones with big loops go on big center bolt, little ones go on small bolt. (same for Plug ins if any) If you have the original hardware, just put the starter back where it goes and bolt it in! Re-attach the battery and try the ign switch. Listen for bad noises... if any, check flywheel and instalation.
Good luck!!

Cant figure it out

You are lucky if its that simple as to remove the valve cover to check. If you are comfortable doing this, than its worth a look. I suspect a broken or slipped timing belt. To do anything with the valves, the heads should come off. New valves are recommended even if only one is damaged. Valve jobs are not very efficient or reliable. The pistons should be checked too for cracks or other damage. Backtracking, ensure that the starter is not at fault and that the battery is good. You dont want to be tearing your engine apart without checking all the basics first. Can you turn the engine by hand either way?
