Hello there Robert.

Without actually being there in person this is going to be a 'spitball' guess at best.

I would say a good possibility, though not a definite 'it has to be this', is a front wheel bearing/hub assembly.

Check this video out (no it's not a GM) but it should give a possible clue to the noise;

Also another video gets a little more detail (nope not a GM either) but worth a viewing.

Hope this helps.

2004 Buick Rainier. Where is the thermostat located on it please?

The thermostat on a 2004 Buick Rainier is located under the housing that connects the large radiator hose to the engine block. You will need to remove the cap that is held on with 2 or 3 bolts to access itI think this is on the passenger side but some diagrams have it on the other side.

What causes a 2004 Buick Rainier to make strange noise while accelerating?

The only way to find is first jack up each wheel and spin it. Look at the back of the tyre and the wheel. Also look for fallen wheel well guards. It can even be a stick picked up after driving through a puddle!

2004 buick rainier cxl awd v8 only blows hot on passenger side no matter what but it blows how I set it on drivers side

Sounds like you either have a bad connection, bad servo motor, or broken or blocked blend door in the sir box for the passenger side.

Car is making a roaring sound maybe coming from front wheel. also jerking when i speed up or slow down

Check your wheel bearing assembly, may be going bad. Jerking may be caused by your driveline slip joint needing to be greased. About a 15 minute job, remove drive shaft and grease up the slip joint.

Humming in the front end, with a louder noise when turning.

Check your front wheel bearing and hubs when they defect the sounds increase on turns from one side to the other, due to the weight(load) displacement loaded on the bearings.
If your vehicle has front wheel drive this also can be the beginning of a defective front axle/axles C.V. joint(constant vellocity joint).
