Diagram rerouting serpetine belt passed a/c 2000 mustang 3.8 liter

You need to replace the compressor with a A/C compressor by-pass pulley, Part Number: 34150 autozone $28

Below is a diagram for a 2000 Sonata with a 2.5L engine. No diagram for a 2.4L engine is available.

2000 Hyundai Sonata 2.5L

It depends on which engine you have. but you can get a diagram online from the repair section of most major autopart store web sites.

im assuming you have a 4.3L?
but this will also work for the 5.0 and 5.7

Belt removal instructions (and routing information) may be found on a sticker under the hood. I have posted a picture of the diagram below if these instructions have faded. The routing on the left is without the AC.

u do not reroute the belt u buy an ac delete pulley, remove the compressor and install pulley where compressor used to be, contact ford for the pulley. very easy job.
