Do you have base or up;level system ?

Table 1: Radio Features
Table 2: Cassette Features
Table 3: Compact Disc Features
Table 4: XM Advisory Messages
The radio receives power from the RADIO fuse in the junction block-right I/P. Ground is provided via G201 and G202. The radio is enabled/disabled by class 2 messages from the body control module (BCM). The radio routes audio signals from the digital radio receiver or the vehicle communication interface module (VCIM) to the speakers and/or amplifier when directed by class 2 messages.
The Entertainment System on this vehicle is configured with an AM/FM stereo radio with the radio data system (RDS) and either a cassette player or a CD player or both. CD and cassette. The uplevel system provides the customer with extended range speakers and an audio amplifier. Satellite digital radio (U2K) is available with uplevel systems.
The following list shows the radios available for this vehicle:
• Radio (ULO) - AM/FM Stereo, Cassette with RDS
• Radio (UNO) - AM/FM Stereo, CD and RDS
• Radio (UPO) - AM/FM Stereo, Cassette with CD and RDS .The complexity of the radio systems on these vehicle is mind blowing .

Your best bet take it to a GM dealer , has features you are unawear of .
DTC B1025, B1035, B1045, or B1055
When the radio is powered up, the radio supplies low level audio signals to the speakers. If the vehicle is equipped with an audio amplifier, the amplifier will boost the signal sent to the speakers.
DTC B1025 Audio Output Circuit
Install a scan tool.
Turn ON the ignition, with the engine OFF.
With the scan tool, monitor the DTC Information for DTC B1025.
Does the scan tool indicate that DTC B1025 is current?

If you have no sound then the radio doesn't work, are you sure you have an amplifier in the car separate from the radio, if not the radio needs to be tested and repaire. GM makes a special tool to bypass the amplifier for testing I am told.

Radio sound not working

I had the same problem with my 2005 Impala radio. The soloution was: Locate the wiring harness under the carpet in the passengers side behind the front seat. You need to untape it (there's a lot of tape) take off the plastic covering and look for the Orange wire. Follow the orange wire towards the rear of the car until you see where it splits into 2 Orange wires. Common problem is corrosion at the split. Cut the wires and resplice them together. My problem was solved right there!!

My passenger car window is stuck halfway & won't go up but motor does seem to be working seems like something might be stuck

you will have to take the door panel off to make sure that your window is in track. Sounds like it has derailed.

2005 impala radio works, no sound or warning charms for low fuel.

If you purchased this vehicle used sometimes people will take the fuse out to stop the chime for low fuel and doors open. If your saying that the radio works and there is sound, this has nothing at all to do with the chime for the low fuel. Check the fuses and see if one is blown or removed. I hope this helps, good luck..

Radio works (tuner, volume control, cd) but no sound

If your radio looks to be working and no sound, open trunk and mounted underneath the deck lid you will see your amp or sound booster. It should have two plugs that plug into it. Unplug the one with two orange wires and with the car switch turned on, check to see if the two orange wires have power on them. If they don't get ready to take out the rear interior and underneath the rear carpet almost at the front seat you will see a big plastic sleeve full of wires on the passenger side. Inside this sleeve there will be one orange wire branching into two orange wires, check to see if it is corroded. That would be where I start.

Radio stopped working.

The problem could be a problem with the wiring to the speakers or the speakers themselves could be blown. I had the same problem with my Camaro once. I would try to replace the speakers and see if that fixes the problem. If not then I would either rplace the wiring or take it in to have it done.
