I had to replace the motor in my 2009 Chevy Impala but the car will not start I will turn the key but the starter will not engage

I'm just talking about seeing if the starter will crank the engine. Battery has a full charge, battery connections all good? Engine and chassis grounds all good? Unplug the starter relay in diagram, use jumper wire on switch side of relay, terminal 30 and 87, the starter motor should crank the engine, no need to use key. However if you have the key in the on position, just where the dash lites come on, the vehicle may start? If you try that make sure tranny is in park or neutral and parking brake is set. If it will crank with jumper but not w/o, have to check control side of relay for voltage and ground. The voltage comes from computer, the ground is chassis ground.
In the diagram, you can see the starter fuse.

2011 f150 want start just click has new battery worked fine yesterday today want start just click

Possible internal starter problem. Try tapping on starter motor while key is held in crank position. If vehicle starts, suspect a starter motor problem and replacement will be required

My ford f150 won't start

sounds like the starter motor needs replacement. If possible have someone lightly tap the starter motor while you hold the key in the cranking position if the starter engages you will need to replace the starter. Also check the large wire at the starter ( this is the 12 volt lead directly from the positive side of battery) , the eyelet sometimes corrodes and or breaks causing a poor connection.

1990 F 150 starter - I need a diagram

Look under the vehicle back where the engine bolts up to the transmission. You should see it on the passenger side. You could also follow the positive battery cable to the starter. It should be that hard to find?

Starter staying engaged 94 150 ford pickup 300 6cylinder

Solenoid contacts are stuck in contact, not releasing and keeping current on the starter motor in the engaged position. Try turning off the engine, and tapping the starter motor soleniod with a piece of wood or soft hammer.

I need a wiring diagram for starter solinoid on a 1989 ford f150

don't have a wiring diagram for you , but i'll try to explain. starting with heavy gage cables---one goes to battery positive--the other heavy cable goes to starter bolt on back of bendix or 3/8 stud with nut. the small wire with 90*end goes to sol. terminal mark "I" thats ign. side comming from ign. switch. the other terminal is not used most of the time. hope this helps.
