SOURCE: opel astra headlight adjustment

two screws on each headlight control the direction the headlights are aimed. One screw, usually at the top but sometimes below the headlight, adjusts the headlight up and down. The other screw, located to one side, controls the headlight from right to left. Turning the appropriate screw one direction or the other will change the direction the headlight points.
In order to aim your headlights you need to have a flat vertical surface you can aim your headlights at in front of a level surface on which to park the car. If your driveway is level your garage door is the perfect place to aim your headlights.
The tools you will need for this job are simple. Masking tape is used to mark where the headlights are to be aimed and a screwdriver is needed to adjust the headlights. A tape measure will be necessary to measure the distance of the vehicle to the surface you're using to check the aim and to measure the up and down distances from your marks

1.7 D 2000 model got no power and bring out white smoke

white smoke indicates a head gasket ,but if water bottle not pressurising or losing coolant then you could be mistaking the white smoke as light gray combined with no power which could indicate a fuel injection problem .

How can I get a wiring diagram for a opel astra 1999 2l fuel injection?

Have you tried Google? If not then suggest you invest in a workshop manual. Most of the Astra fuel injection system is solid state so unless you can actually see a break in the wiring the likelihood is that the problem will need a fault code reader to pinpoint.

Opel astra club model.bt it smoke with engine operation what is problem?

gray smoke is water ( check water level )
black smoke is oil (check oil level)
also check if you are parked on an incline, if back of car is up un air then water can sit in the exhaust over night. and it can take upto 2hrs of driving to get it out. this will also give you gray smoke.

Does any one knew what to do before and after fitting turbo for astra van dti 1.7 2002 ??? i allready change one with second hand but thas gone too i dont no why no power and white smokes all over

I'd say your second hand turbo needed new seals/ gaskets as the white smoke represents water going out the exhaust / through the turbo check and see if you haven't blown your head gaslit firstly

My top gasket cover is leaking oil. I replaced the whole cover with a new one but the problem persists. My car is a 2007 Opel Astra gtc turbo

this is the 16 valve one with a rubber ring type gasket ,what i do with these is clean it all up the i glue the rubber gasket in with evostick ,place face down on a flat bench t dry then grease the rubber and fit that always does it for me ,they fall out of the groove no matter how good or hard you try .Old trick i learnt in the ford factory when putting the big V manifolds on .

Too much oil was put into the engine of an opel astra 160i 1999 model...the motor vehicle smokes excessively...was there any damage done???? what can i do abour it???

If you did not drive it very hard you have done no damage. Just drain it down till it's at the proper level. Drive it normal, she may smoke for a bit but the smoking should go away and all will be ok.

Black smoke is excessive burnt fuel. White is excessive unburnt fuel. Have your turbo checked and the air filter. Good Luck
