White smoke is usually coolant, get the head gasket checked before you drive it any further, and check for any oil in your coolant reserve, or water bubbles mixed into your oil.

I am getting mercedes benz c 200 cdi 2002 modal for 495000 it is good or not and if good then how to check the car that it is in good condition or not and it is working properly or not

Hi and welcome to FixYa!

Things to check before purchasing the car.

- Check if there are oil leaks underneath and on the sides of the engine
- Check the power steering fluid and hose if there are leaks
- Check the emmissions, white smoke when engine is warmed up will be a sign of a bad engine
- Take a few runs, make sure that it shifts smoothly and without hesitations
- Check the coolant level and the hoses if there are any cracks or leaks

You should be good if these things are fine.

Hope this helps and thank you for using FixYa!

Mercedes w220 s320 cdi grey smoke on hard acceleration

Unless there are warning lights indicating some sort of mechanical malfunction I would not worry about this. If this were a gasoline engine it would be disconcerting. Diesels on the other hand are more prone to producing soot, and in recent years have come under attack for this reason. The reason this happens is that when you are accelerating hard you are forcing more fuel to be burned in each firing cycle. Soot is simply the product of inefficient combustion.

I got problem with my sat nav on s320 cdi (2002)

Hi, You need to replace the cd changer. This is very common on these vehicles. The best place to get the changer is the dealership. I have seen them fit aftermarket changers in there but can not give any advise on that.

Turning off brake pad warning light after changing pads on S320 merc.

Hi,
If the light came on before you changed pads, you will need to replace the sensor.
The sensor consists of only a wire link embedded in a hard plastic. This is worn through when the pads are nearly worn out.

To check which sensor it is, it's easier to unplug the sensor, and check with a continuity checker. If there is no continuity, you need to replace it.

Thanks for using Fixya! If this solves the problem, please rate as such. Thank you.
