SOURCE: cam shaft sensor & air conditioner

I replaced the Cam Shaft Sensor. I also cleaned the Throttle Body with carb cleaner. I had my wife hold down the accelerator, while running I sprayed down the throttle plate and the entire area around it. Now my TB finally idles smoothly, and it hasn't died yet!! Check engine light is gone and I passed the emissions test!! Yea!!!

SOURCE: Cam Shaft Sensor Problems

Had the same problem before on my 04 Neon SXT...camshaft sensor is on left side of engine block, take out the battery and to the left of it (face car) is the camshaft position sensor. To change it you'll have to move a few hoses but its plan to see there on the left side of the engine...pretty easy remove and replace. Fixed my problem of car not going above 2k RPM when i replaced the sensor.

2010 buick enclave...need to know location of camshaft position sensor

I think some people (myself included) are confused between camshaft and crankshaft position sensors. I believe their are 4 camshaft position sensors in 2 banks, I’d like to know all these locations as I have p0014 and p0021 corresponding to both banks of CAM shaft sensors. Where are these locations please? I have 2009 Enclave also.

How to replace the camshaft bearing on a 2003 chevy malibu

There aren't any bearings for the cam shaft. The cams are held in place by the head and the caps. Both aluminium. If you have slop here, replace the heads. Engine size would help.

Camshaft position sensor how do I change this not the crankshaft shaft position sensor cam 98 Tahoe 4x4 5.7

I have a 96 mazda van and although I was getting camshaft position errors, it does not even have a camshaft sensor. It generates the signal from the distributor location.
BUT I do not know if the same is true for your Tahoe. Find a repair manual in a library and look it up if you don't get a helping answer here soon.

What is the funtion of cam shaft position sencer

Camshaft position sensor gives the position of cam related to the engine crankshaft which is useful for the fuel supply; ignition, injection, valve opening and closing system. Magnetic type sensor is used on the timing cover over the camshaft gear. Camshaft position sensor is same as that of crank shaft speed sensor in terms of construction and working. 2004 chrysler sebring 2.4l dohc.

Have you ever replaced the timing belt?? If not the problem is likely to be a loose worn out timing belt. A floppy belt will play havoc with the sensor signals and trigger a check engine light and a camshaft sensor code.
