does it make any noise at all? if not get a hammer and hit the starter a couple of times ( not little taps) and try it again, if it starts then your starter is not good. I am curious as to how you tested it.

My 1993 Mazda will not start when it is cold in the morning. It will only start when the sun comes out and warms the car up. I know it sounds weird. any suggestions

Have an 88 mazda 929 it wont start without jumper cables. It will stay running but if it is shut off it wont start again.
you need to have the battery tested, i think all that is wrong is the battery is bad.
