The tensioner should adjust and take the correct belt and tension it correctly. The reasons for belts coming off and worn / loose belt, wrong belt, tensioner not working, or incorrect belt alignment.
if the serpentine belt is behind the supercharger belt and there is no way to get it off then yes but I suspect that if you fiddle a bit the belt will come off
When looking at the front of the engine you will see one of the idler pulleys will have a 3/8 square hole in it,thats for a 3/8 breaker bar or ratchet to fit in to ..hook up the tool and move counter clockwise to rotate the tensioner so you can remove the belt... do the same when installing the new belt
1-Remove serpentine fan belt
2-Remove pulley from front of water pump (10mm socket or wrench)
3-remove 6 bolts from water pump assembly (8mm socket or wrench)
4- replace water pump
5- reverse order to reassemble
it is a simple job but that is what the shops charge you can get a good belt for about 40.00 dollars if you know how to put it on yourself.if not the price is right
