Location of evap purge valve solenoid on a 2004 chevy Colorado z71 4x4 3.5l looking from the front of truck

no engine told and there are 3 answers. for 3 engines
replace it?

1. Disconnect the evaporative emission (EVAP) canister purge valve electrical connector.
2. Disconnect the EVAP canister purge pipe from the EVAP canister purge valve.
3. Disconnect the vacuum supply hose from the EVAP canister purge valve.
4. Remove the EVAP canister purge valve bolt.
5. Remove the EVAP canister purge valve from the intake manifold.

The EVAP Purge valve, on your vehicle, is located in the engine compartment. Yours is on the top of the front-right side (passenger side) of the engine. Just in case you need to know where the EVAP Vent valve/solenoid is located, it is underneath. It is tucked away at the rear part of the car, between the fuel-tank and the right-rear fender well. Kenny, I am sending you a schematic that should help you locate the valve. I was not sure if you had a 3.8 or 4.6.. but they should be the same.... Best of Luck.!!

ENGINE VACUUM HOSES ON INTAKE MANIFOLD ARE LOCATED ON MAP SENSOR, PCV VALVE,POWER BRAKE BOOSTER VACUUM HOSE, YOU HAVE VACUUM HOSE TO FUEL PRESSURE REGULATOR.YOU HAVE VACUUM HOSE TO EVAP CANISTER PURGE SOLENOID.

The EVAP service port is located in the EVAP purge pipe between the EVAP purge solenoid and the EVAP canister. The service port is identified by a green colored cap.
