You will need to remove the touch screen module and have it repaired or replaced, no other solution to this failure.

Why is my 2008 prius not starting?

It could be your battery. You could jump your car, and then have the car taken to a local shop to be diagnosed. Replacing the battery could be a costly repair, depending on the battery. Good luck.

Car will not start

A simple jump start with battery cables should get the car started and recharge the battery. If you don't like dealing with battery cables, there are products that attach from inside the car using the cigarette lighter to jump start the car that work very well.

It won't start, the lights are dim and I cannot remove the key fob.

is the car battery flat, not the battery pack thats behind the back seat for the hybrid motor,as prius get flat batteries like a normal car if yo leave something on or because its 5 years old,I work for Toyota in Australia and thats usually the only issue but people get stressed because theyre hybrids, but get a good battery dude rehearsed in Prius to change it not backyard eddy

Finding bad cell in hv system. How do I remove the rear seat. After the service plug do you diconnect the cells from the busbsr and test them one at a time.

Hello. Welcome to FixYa.

I am a Toyota Service Manager, with all of the necessary Prius credentials..

I would seriously recommend that you do NOT fool with the HV battery, or anything inside the HV battery's protective case. Even with the service plug disconnected, you are dealing with potentially LETHAL voltages. 303 volts DC, to be exact. So, touching the wrong terminal at the wrong time could send those 303 volts across your heart, and that voltage is more than sufficient enough to stop your heart.

Plus, if you do find a bad cell, individual replacement cells are not available; you must obtain the entire HV battery.

In short, PLEASE stop what you are doing. You are taking a great risk.
If you do not have the in-depth knowledge with regard to proper handling of the HV battery, you are headed for a potential disaster.

Problem is resolved,
I pulled & giggled a couple of fuses, found one fuse that had an extend fuse container was probably not quite seated right. Will notify dealer & replace several working fuses with new. rr
