It may not have anything to do with the tank switch. It sounds like the check valve in the pump has failed. The valve prevents fuel pressure from draining back into the tank.
The fuel pump inertia switch that shuts off the pump in the case of an accident or impact is located under the right side of dash I have also
found them behind the right kick panel. There is also a fuel pump
shutoff relay under the hood on the left firewall, and a relay on the
right fender apron behind a plastic cover. Hope this helps.
The inertia switch has tripped I am not positive where the reset switch is, look behind the carpet just above where the passenger's feet rest. Call the dealer's service dept. to ask where it may be located.
