My first thought was your security system? I don't have good enough info on that security system. Is there a security lamp on the dash that is on or flashing? If so, you can try 30 minute relearn procedure to see if it helps?
Some more testing, make sure battery has a full charge. Have helper crank it while you check for spark at the plugs. If spark everywhere, use a gage and check proper fuel pressure and fuel injector pulse. Let the starter motor cool off a little between cranking. I know some the older malibu use passlock security system, usually that is fuel injector disable only.
Any applicable trouble codes?

The switch need to be replaced. This is a common problem. Understand that he switch is the only breakpoint in that system. If the seat is getting hot without the switch being pressed, there is a short in the switch, thuis the necessary replacement.
Remote control door lock reciver an the BCM - body control module control the locks . The key switch is a electrical input to the BCM , the BCM controls the door lock actuators . Your best bet ,have it towed to the dealer .
On this car there is a cable that is tied into the shifter, so you have to turn the keep to be able to take it out of gear. Its all in 1 big housing. Usually to remove the ignition cylinder it has to be in the run position and you push a little key down to remove it. Since your key won't turn you have to figure out a way to do it.However once you replace the ignition cylinder your shifter will move and you will be able to start the car. To get to the ignition switch/cylinder you have to remove the molding around the instrument panel and then the instrument cluster. Then you can unbolt the assembly in the front with a 10mm socket. lift the assembly up and now you have access to change it out. Hope this helps.
