Question about 2005 Lexus Lx 470

I have LX470 2005. Sometimes when accelareting, VSC off and VSC TRAC get on. When they get on, I switch the car off and on VSC alarms get off.What could be a reason?

HI,

For your Lexus this may be the same as a Check Engine Light, which is telling you something needs attention.

Take the LX to an Auto Parts store and asked them to scan your car for codes stored in the engine's computer (ECM or PCM). They'll usually do this for free.
Possibilities:
- Loose gas cap
- low brake fluid
- O2 Sensor(s)

Also, Your LX is very similar to the Toyota Sequoia which also had VSC issues. Search online and you may find your answer.

I have a 2001 Sequoia replaced connectors to battery. Now E brake light ABS light Trac Off and VSC Trac light are on. I disconnected ground and let it sit. Had code ran and it said open closed circuit abs?...
More than likley its your VSC computer (VSC Trac, VSC Off, E brake and ABS brake lights all lit). This problem has been sited on other Sequoias that had the TSB brake caliper/rotor upgrade (recall) and that more than likely the VSC software or computer was not updated to meet the demands of the newly installed brake upgrade.

Hi, have you scanned the vehicle to see why your check engine light is on? IF no, you need to. Toyota/Lexus computer system illumniates both engine light and VSC lights whenver a fault occurs in either unit. VSC or stability control is like trac-control or ABS braking system. Get car scanned and make sure all computers are scanned for additional codes, repair them first reset lights and test drive. ON a side note, fixing check engine light will usually take VSC light away also, however sometimes the VSC system will glitch out and a Steering Angle relearn is necessary, it takes about 3mins to perform and a good quality scan tool with 2004 current software. The VSC and trac will shut off with a P0500 or P0705 code, so diagnose those first. You left out year and engine, so we can't look up most common failures.

My VSC TRAC, TRAC OFF & brake light is on in board
I have a 2004 sequoia with the same problem. VSC TRAC, TRAC OFF & brake light comes on at the same time. Sometimes just the brake light and other times all three. Sometimes no lights. Does anyone have a fix?

HOW TO RESET TRAC OFF AND VSC INDICATOR FOR 4 RUNNER 2004
VSC and trac off,will generally be reset with a readout tool plugged in under dash, knee level drivers side.
When these lighst come on together it is often a sign of improper air fuel mixture, sometimes as a result of running extremely low on fuel or leaving a gas cap loose.
It may also be a symptom of a clogged O2 sensor in one of 3 locations. When resetting the LEDs a readout will analise the cause.
