What does relay 306 in a f350 2002 super duty truck control

You need to replace the range selector switch on the side of the transmission.

Why don't you post your problem first. You can get a free manual at Ford.com/owners manual. This will tell you all fuses and relays.

The manuals are a bit cryptic using something so straight-forward as 'Tail Light'. The 2010 F550 manual
http://www.forddieseltrucks.net/manuals/2010-f550-manual.pdf has a big list of fuses and relays starting on PDF page 306. If the year si wrong, (I don't imagine the fuses change all that much year on year, a bigger listing is at

15 Amp - Brake shift interlock, DRL relay coil, speed control module, backup lamps, trailer tow backup lamp relay coil, electronic shift on the fly hub lock solenoid & finally vacuum pump motor. Busy little fuse. I hope this helped and good luck.

see the steel wire behind the speed control blower switch. it might just be loose.

PCM maybe loosing voltage may have caused Engine control Fuse #22
to blow open. IDM injector Driver module could have loose or open harness connetors. IDM relays gets its ground thru the PCM ground circuit. When this happens it cycles the ground side of the relay trigger coil switch.

Replace the glowplug relay.Its faulty.The glow plugs stay on until engine warms up.The engine temp switch then activates the relay to switch off.So it could be the temp switch also faulty.
