The lower mark is on the chain gear line it up with the little notch in the block and the cam has two little lines on the back side of the cam gear line them with the edge of the head where the valve cover gaskets sits

1992 honda accord timing markings

The timing marks for that car is located between the engine and transmission. There is a rubber plug(appx.2" long) on the front of the tranny bell housing, directly below the distributor, that allows access to see the timing marks with a timing light..

I looking for the timing belt marks for a 99 camry cam and crank

I don't know. I'm working on and 04 RAV 4, it has chains. But I just want to suggest that you get a Haynes or Chilton repair manual from autoparts store. Invaluable! Good luck.

I have a 99 accord that lacks power when I hit a hill. It runs fine and gets good mileage but I have to downshift from 5th to 4th on minor hills. Check engine light is off.

howdy, there are a few things on your 99 Accord that could cause that problem. usually all will eventually turn on the check engine light in time. make sure your check engine light is working when the key is first turned to run.

* a partially clogged catalytic converter.
* faulty O2 Sensor (Bank 1 Sensor1).
* low fuel pressure caused by a bad fuel pump, clogged fuel filter(in the tank) or a bad fuel pressure regulator on the injector rail.
*bad ignition switch which can cause intermittent stalls.

now i don't know which engine you have, (i'm guessing a 4cyl.) there were two 2.3L- 4cyl. engines (F23A1 & F23A4) and a 3.0 V6. but if you also have a rough idle or low idle miss, a jumped timing belt can also causing loss of power.

if you know anyone with a scanner that reads the computer datastream, see what the O2 Sensor (Bank 1 Sensor1) is doing & look at fuel trim readings. Also check backpressure on the converter where that O2 Sensor is screwed in.

please let me know if i have helped, totally confused or scared you to death! Good Luck!

Timing for honda

the timing marks on 86-89 accords are on the flywheel. there is a 1" x 1/2" hole in the block about 1/2 way down on the front where the engine and trans bolt together. its tough to see because there is a p/s hose bracket in the way. there are marks for tdc and the spec.
