I have a 1996 Buick Regal Custom. The blower motor quit working early this spring and I replaced it with a new one. It worked great for a while, but now it doesn't work when I set the switch to high. It blows on all the other settings. What are possible fixes?

The tensioner should adjust and take the correct belt and tension it correctly. The reasons for belts coming off and worn / loose belt, wrong belt, tensioner not working, or incorrect belt alignment.

If it has a resistor pack it will be in the blower housing.

The blower motor on a park ave of the same year looks to be located near the middle of the firewall in the engine cmpt. The blower motor resistor you are referring to is part of that assembly. Please refer to the following diagram. Let me know what you find, good luck!

You have a bad censor on your low fan. Replace it and it will work again.

You would have to post the manufacturer of the remote starter to receive a schematic for it

you probably need a blower motor resistor. its located in the heater core case under the hood. it may only be available with a new blower motor.

Replace the sensor on the output shaft of the gearbox.

Did you try jumping the cooling fans with direct power to see if they worked and the fan motor isnt burned out?You can turn the a/c on while running the car and it should turn the fans on even if the car isnt heated up.

the dinging is from having the turn signal on to long it s a warning I know that sounds strange, mine did the same thing happen to me i made a turn but the turn signal didnt shut off couple mins. later i hear ding ding ding looked at dash turn signal was on shut it off it quit dinging. hope this helps
