Audi A4 2005 3.0 Quattro fans not working and coolant pressure builds up to where it cracked resovoir

If you are are a skilled DIY repair person: test your fans by putting 12V to the fans directly. the connectors (easy to find, FAT wires). are under the driver side engine cover, behind the driver side head light.

If fans work, then it could be the coolant temperature SWITCH (NOT the coolant temperature SENSOR that feeds the ECU and the instrument cluster), typically located (not sure on 3.0 engine) in the lower radiator hose.

1993 audi 90cs is overheating fast and I don't think the fan is coming on! What do I do?

First of all check the fan fuse to c if it's ok if it is then replace your fan switch on the side of the radiator cause that tells the fan when to come and it's a common fault on most vw cars if all else fails u will need to test and c if the fan is still working,u can check that by either putting direct power to the fans wiring if it does work then change the thermostat

MY AUDI A4 2L OVERHEATED, I REALIZED RADIATOR FAN JUST STOPED WORKING, WHAT NOW, WHY

either the relay to the fan motor might have malfunctioned, or else the thermostat switch would not be working. have these two checked first.

if you find both of them working properly, direct the fan to the battary terminal and have the fan motor checked.

2003 Audi TT Quatro Coupe. The radiator cooling fan does not work. Vehicle over heats because the fan does not work. Replaced the radiator cooling fan motor and the temperature sensor. The problems is...

The main reason for the over heating of the audi tt is to do with the water pump. The propeller within the first type of water pumps is made of plastic. This was to prevent corrosion, however was never designed to last longer than 5 years. What you need to do is purchase the new style water pump. These new style water pumps have been designed with a metallic propellor which should resolve the overheating. Let us know how you get on.

Removal of Dash to Access Noisy Fan

BE PREPARED FOR ALOT OF WORK IF YOU ARE TO REMOVE THE DASH. FAN UNIT ITSELF IS NOT THAT DIFFICULT IT IS LOCATED PASSENGER LOWER SIDE BEHIND GLOVE BOX. CHECK TO SEE IF YOU CAN SEE YOUR EVAPORATOR THROUGH YOUR CABIN FILTER WHICH IS UNDER HOOD NEAR WINDSHIELD PASSENGER SIDE.

2003 Audi A4 Cabriolet ...cooling fans come on at start up

Yes this car should have a temperature sending unit that tells the fans to kick on. If it has two fans one of them is for you Air-condiontion, and it will turn on whenever the ac is being ran. One other possibility is if you bought the audi used the owner before you may have hard wired the fan to run whenever the car ignition is turned on. The only reason someone would do that is if they were to lazy to fix it properly.
