P0442 Means you have a small leak in your EVAP system. P0455 is a large leak. The EVAP system prevents gas vapors from entering the air . This code can be set by a leak in the lines or a cloggedcharcoal canister. Most common reason is If you did not put your gas cap on all the way. Hope this helps Leave feedback please thank you FixYa
Those are both Evaporative Emission Control System related. 442 is a small leak has been detected. 455 is a bigger leak has been detected. Check all your connections, (electrical & vacuum lines) as well as check for any cracked, loose vacuum hoses in the system, as well as clean "O" ring on your gas cap well and threads in filler pipe & make sure gas cap is tight. Do the gas cap first & see if codes dissappear, but it may take a new gas cap. These codes commonly appear shortly after getting gas, due to cap not back on tight.
This code means that system to lean, bank 1. some of the possible causes to make this code set are 1. intake or exhaust leak, 2. problem with the air system. 3. MAF (Mass Air Flow sensor)VAF sensor (Volume air flow sensor) 4. fuel pressure/pump 5. injector(s) 6. HO2S (Oxygen sensor)
it sounds like the fuel pump to me also. when you first start the truck the fuel pump builds pressure in the system and as you drive the fuel pump can not keep up with the demand of driving. you should find a service station that can test the pressure that the pump is putting out to make sure
Stop cranking! It Sounds like you're nnot getting any fuel. No fuel + cranking equals a burnt out injection pump. Start by checking your lift pump pressure. This can be done at the fuel filter by removing one of the small test ports and hooking up a pressure guage. With the guage installed, bump the engine over which will cause the liftpump to kick on and run, giving you a reading. A good pump will read 10-12 psi. a bad one will read in the 3-5 range. Good Luck!
