Sometimes they just fail to reset properly. Nothing to worry about. The youtube video shows the procedure to reset for a Chevy Truck, should be the same for your Chevy car.

If you reset the oil life computer then the "Change Oil" due to a defective oil life computer, which is contained in the instrument cluster. Ignore the message or send it out fro repair (about $250.00).

bring in your vehicle to get the transmission filter changed and the cooling rad (lower part) flushed out. that should fix your problem.

Electric power assist is a recall on the cobalt. Take it to a Chevy dealership and they will replace it free of cost

I hope you went right back to the oil shop and told them they left the plug out. I would hold them liable, you cooked your engine, It might come round, but it won't be right. The next thing to go, if it ever runs again will be the head gaskets, and it will keep on getting worse. Take them to court if you have to.

Chevrolet Malibu, Malibu Maxx 2004-06; 2006 HHR, Cobalt, Pontiac G6, Solstice
Turn ignition to run engine off. Display OIL LIFE RESET in the Driver Information Center (DIC). Press and hold the ENTER button for at least one second. An ACKNOWLEDGED’ display message will appear for three second or until the next button is pressed. This will tell you the system has been reset. Turn the key to OFF. If the “CHANGE ENGINE OIL” message comes back on when you start your vehicle, the engine oil life system has not reset. Repeat the procedure.

If the service light is on in your TrailBlazer, open the door, turn the key to ignition position and push the accelerator pedal 5 times, the service light will flash. flash your high beams and you're done.
