Most likely a welsh plug leaking and running down on the mount
pressure test the cooling system and watch for where the coolant is coming from
It could be a freeze plug, there are atlest 3 freeze plugs on each side of the engine, or it could be a head gasket or the head leaking, you should do a pressure test done and that will help you find the problem

fasteddie383 is right. i had to do the same repair, to the same shock location, on my friend '81p/u. luckly i didn't have to take it to a welder, i just did it myself. as for making a patch, that's going too far, and isn't needed. i simply "vee'd" the cracks (on both the inside & outside of the frame) and filled in the cracks with the welder. after i ground the welds smooth-TAKE CARE NOT TO GO TOO THIN HERE!-i cleaned up the hole opening for the shock bolt and installed new shocks (which is what i was doing when i found the damage) and it's been mint ever since (this repair was done in July of 2003). good luck.

pull the plastic grate cover off the cowl at heater AC outside air intake at the base of the windshield and check to see that the cowl drains are not plugged with leafs or other debris, this is the common cause, if the drains are clear seal around the cowl air intake with automotive silicone caulking.

Check the oil filler cap for mayonaise. It may mean that your head gasket has gone, Go to a local garage and ask them to do a presure test on each cylinder to see if it fails on one. Have you checked the plugs for cleanness and oil contamination? that's where your problems sounds where it lies.

A crack in that area of the block, while possible, is highly unlikely. A crack in the block usually happens in between the cylinder walls on the side of the block. It is most likely leaking from the intake manifold gasket that connects the intake manifold to the heads, or if the upper radiator hose connects to the intake manifold, it could be leaking from the thermostat housing or hose. There are also coolant temperature sensors that are mounted in that area. Or last but not least, it could be leaking from one of the freeze plugs in the end of the head. Coolant runs through the block, heads and intake manifold.
Testimonial: "Thank you, what a relief that a crack is highly unlikely. You have been very helpful!"

it could be a freeze plug just above the motor mount
On the driver side ?
there is at least 3 freeze plugs on each side of the engine
if for no other reason it could be a head gasket
there are atlest 3 freeze plugs on each side of the engine
if the freeze plugs arnt leaking then the other thing could be either a head gasket or the head
