use a scan tool to reset the ECM to get the immobilizer to work

Only 99-02 will work on a 2000, and they show a base model airbag and a GT model airbag.

The wipers will not work on my 2000 mustang. I checked the fuse and i wasnt blown.

Ford has mounted these in 2 different areas.
1. Under the dash, either pass side or divers side.
2, Or in the engine compartment located next to the Power Dist Box,, Black in color.
If you can not find the location call your Ford Dealer, or a Chiltons Manual should have the location

You can check the internet for the part, or you can call a junk yard, the dealership will charge a fortune for that part...........the gem module is part of the on-board computer, they generaly run anywhere from $100.00 and up over $1,000.00 so do not be suprised if it costs around $1,500.00 depending on if you still can get that part from a dealership or parts store......

What they are speaking of is the GEM module however this will not correct the concerns you have.
The GEM controls the following functions:

• warning chimes and warning lamps
• one-touch down window
• windshield washers and wipers
• battery saver
• illuminated entry with keyless remote entry
• interior lighting

Turn signals and hazzard lamps do not go thru the GEM module at all and the reverse lamps all the gem does there is look for reverse so it knows when to activate the auto lock doors when vehicle is in motion.
I suspect you have 2 or more problems here that you may want to get checked by an experienced Ford tech.Also the GEM has to be programed when replaced.It is not plug and play.

Check for a third bolt.
