What do I do to fix a stuck rpm gauge on my 2001 windstar?

Battery or voltage regulator in the alternator

The gauge or sender or wiring in defective or in need of repairs.

Hello, Have your Alternator checked. When the insides of the Alternator break down it can charge the Chassis and your gauges will go goofy.

Would like to know what you found when you fix this van.

There is more to the throttle then just the pedal. The cable at the other end by the throttle body could have been stuck or the throttle position sensor had an issue.

Replace the gage cluster you should be able to find a cheap one on craigslist or ebay if not the salvage yard should have one.

Blend air door may be stuck. I removed a pencil from a heater box before. It had fallen from the dash, down through the defrost vents and jamed the door.

try to change trans fluid and filter

it is possible, but could be equally as possible to have a clogged heater core, faulty ducting actuator or vacuum leak.
