SOURCE: 1991 Oldsmobile Cutlass siera Problem:

Do this before you do anything else. If this is a 3300 (3.3L) engine, there is a common ground post beneath the air cleaner, under the crossover pipe. It loses contact on these older models. It is among other things, the ground for the ECM, and will stop the car cold. Take the four terminations, which ground a total of 8 wires, loose. Clean it all up, and buff the terminations with some sandpaper to get any corrosion off. Be sure when you're loosening and tightening the nut to use a backup wrench on the hex base of the post itself, or you'll behead the terminations of the ground wires. Snug it all down and you'll be back in business. Be sure to disconnect the battery before doing all this because you don't want to buy a new ECM. Bet this fixes your problem. Good luck.

LOCATION OF FUEL FILTER ON 1999 OLDSMOBILE INTRIGUE

under the drivers door with a bracket holding the filter on. Be carful some of them have clips holding fuel lines on. might have to tak tank off, but that might lead to a leaking tank, straps a hole lot of mess. Best way is to take off filter, leave off put rubber hose on fuel line and put into a fuel can turn on the key and wait to empty.hope not to much gas in tank.
