SOURCE: saab 9000 cse turbo

Hi Steve,
I had a similar problem on a full pressure SAAB 9000. With me it only happened under hard acceleration, and it was caused by the Waste Gate Controller being sticky and over-boosting the engine to the point where the overpressure switch came into play - this cuts out the engine till the pressure drops to a safe level again - hence the sudden loss of power. On the full pressure turbo's you get a boost gauge so you can see it happening, but I don't think the LPT's have one fitted - so its probably a garage job - otherwise Saab9000.com will show you how to test it yourself.

Regards

Hugh

SOURCE: Have a 1999 Toyota Tacoma with a 3.4. Vehiclw was

Most likely I a would suspect the fuel rail had moisture in it. If you checked emissions it would most likely show no HC and alot of 02 and no CO. If it does show alot of HC then I would suspect sticking valves intermittantly . The pinging really points to no fuel issue tho. If you pull the injector connector off and no change then I would remove the fuel rail and inspect. Also make sure the wires are in the correct locations. It easy to get them wrong.

SOURCE: 2002 Nissan Altima 3.5 "Choking & Jerking"

I just had the same problem with my '02 altima SE.
Took it to Buckeye Nissan in Hilliard OH. and they had to replace the two crank sensors which.
The sensors themselves were about $44.00 a piece, but w/labor about $300.00 was the total. Hope this helps.....Now if I can just get the heater working!

SOURCE: SPARK GAP FOR 1990 TOYOTA COROLLA

Do you happen to have a hacksaw blade? The thickness of the hacksaw blade is equal to the clearance of the
spark plug contacts. You can put the hacksaw blade flat
between the contacts, and make the necessary adjustment. Then, start your engine. Send in your e-mail
so we will know.

What is causing my 02 Sub to missfire after driving it turning it off and restarting it ?

Check your fuel pressure. Unspent fuel would cool the converter. A lean fuel situation would create the glowing exhaust.

P0304 astra cylinder 4 missfire

Make sure all new spark plug setting are set right. I bought a set and the car still would not run right so we found two plugs had been dropped and had to be reset. After resetting the car ran good.

I have volvo 940 modle 1992 .... i am from egypt i want to know what is the best kind of spark plugs may use to my car

My favorite is Denso W20EXR-U Also like NGK BPR6ES if cost is no object - NGK BPR6EIX might be worth a try
Can also use an array of different Bosch plugs: WR7DCX+ WR7DP WR7DP+ WR7DC+ all are indicated for this car.
These all work for either turbo or non-turbo engine

My toyota camry will not pick speed especially when it climbing a hill

this could be caused by an ignition problem, wrong parts, or a timing problem.
try using ngk or denso(ngk recommended) spark plugs, ngk spark plug wires, and if needed new coils. ngk and denso are the factory recommended parts for the model, i have a 98 camry lewith a 2.2.
also if it is low mileage, below 200k or doesnt leak oil, try castrol syntec 5w 30 oil and a k&n air filter

2001 Toyota 4runner idle rpm is too low

Hi Seanmcm21,
More than likely the low idle you are experiencing is caused by a dirty IAC valve located right under the throttle body itself. It needs to be cleaned out with carb cleaner. Remove the electrical connector, the two vacuum hoses, and two screws. To put it back, use a little sealant to seal it before screwing it back together but do not get the sealant inside the IAC valve. If this 4 Runner is a V6, you may need to replace the spark plugs if old. Make sure to purchase twin electrode NGK or Denso spark plugs and gap them to .043 with a gapper.

Code reader showes random misfire on cyl 1,3,5, have already changed the plugs

if the wrong spark plugs were used it could create a p0300 code. these cars call for ngk or nippon denso plugs. if i understand what you are telling me you have 4 related codes p0300(random missfire)p0301(cyl 1)p0303, and p0305. if this is the case then check your plugs again. if someone put in autolites to save money, throw them in the trash. they have a place, this is just not it. make sure your maintenance is up to date and the timing belt has been changed. it is recomended by hyundai at 60,000 miles.

03 honda element past 3000 rpm starts to sputter. It has 83000 miles on it and is always maintained.

make sure that you have nip and denso plugs or ngk plugs in it
make sure that your air filter fuel filter are new
make sure that your plug wires are ohm'd out and are ok
some people do not use factory ignition parts so what that ends up doing is making your car misfire.
