What size bolts are used for the 2007 accent torque converter to flexplate?

the dish in the center of the flexplate should protrude tword the engine, also check for excessive torque convertor run out, as that can crack the flexplate

I wouldn't get them from the bolt store. Usually torque converter bolts have a special head on them. I would find a vintage beetle specialist online and get them from them. You could also buy an assortment of bolts to get the correct thread count and size found and then order torque converter bolts from a parts store. Oreilly's has some of the more standard converter bolts...

  • Transaxle mount and torque the bolts to 65-80 ft. lbs. (90-110 Nm)
  • Torque converter and torque the bolts to 34-39 ft. lbs. (46-53 Nm)
  • Flywheel cover and torque the bolts to 72-84 inch lbs. (8-10 Nm)

    Insert torque converter into transmission and hold in place with home made bracket. Move trans into position to engine while aligning the holes in the flexplate to the bolts in the torque converter. Once alignment, secure the transmission to the engine. Then tighten the converter nuts and bolts

    there are 6 bolts connecting the trany to the engine. They all should be easy to take out. Are you talking about the three nuts that are used to bolt the trany torque converter to the flexplate? If so, rotate the flexplate to reach the other 2 nuts.

    Torque converters are bolted up to the flywheel or flexplate. Probably 4 or 6 bolts from the flywheel engine side into the torque converter.

    BROKEN FLEXPLATE ON TOYOTA 4RUNNER HAVE BROKEN 3 IN LAST YEAR. THE BOLTS AROUND THE CRANK BREAK THE FLEXPLATE. WHAT CAN BE CAUSING IT.

    G'day mate , misallignment, make sure the bell housing is in good clean servicable condition also when the box is out check that the bell housing to gearbox is flat clean and serviceable by removing the torque converter and unbolting bell housing if it is posible also is the starter straight and in to the correct depth for mesh as if it is to shy or in to far it will put pressure on the flywheel as the torque converter has room to move in and out but the flywheel is under great pressure at that point and will not like being flexed bac to accomadate a deep starter, on the bell housing bolt holes there may be hollow dowels in the bolt holes make sure these are clean, in the right place and actually there,hope this helps

    I have removed the pressure plate and clutch disc. how do i remove the flex plate to get to the flex plate bolts. 2007 dodge ram 3500 6 speed manual transmission

    theres an access cover under the turbo on the front of the bellhousing (2 10mm bolts) that you have to remove to access the bolts that hold the flywheel to the flexplate. kinda like removing the bolts to a torque converter. flywheel is real hevy though, watch your fingers

    Im removing a auto tranny from a 2whl dr 1988 GMC jimmy. does the torque converter bolt to the flywheel.

    You'll have to remove the torque converter to flexplate bolts and push the converter back a little when you pull the trans. out.
