Usually a bad connection at the battery. That's the place you always start. Just because the dash lights come on doesn't mean the battery or connections aren't bad

I installed new radio on honda civic 05 but it wont turn on. i tried to see if the old one still worked but it doest turn on either.

you need to check to see if your car has a radio lockout that won`t allow the radio to work unless you enter a code to unlock system.you will have to talk to the honda dealer for more information about this,or talk to a radio installer shop that deals with lockout systems for car radios
