2001 Lincoln LS V6 clicks but won't start at times?It clicks at fuse box under hood not at starter.

Just a thought: If you have two electric fans one comes on when you turn the A/C on the other does not come on till the car reaches normal operating engine coolant water temperature.

Lincoln LS has a hydraulic pump driven fan, and there is a relay, under the hood in the fuse/relay box on the driver's side, just behind the battery. The lid of the box has the diagram of the fuses/relays. In this look at the part labeled C107 and c 105

Sounds like a faulty starter solenoid.

you must have a fuse box under the hood you will find a master positive cable hook up your jumper to that cable and let it back feed your ground can be hooked up to the motor any ware let it charge for 20 min or so

the only other place is the starter all starters have a positive wire on them you cant miss it
its the biggest cable on the starter

The 2001 Lincoln Ls v8 has three fuse boxes Located: 1. Under the Hood on the passenger side, 2. Under the dash on the passenger side behind a kick panel, and 3. In the trunk next to the battery where your spare tire is.

Your Lincoln has three fuse box locations. You will find two under the hood, one by the battery the other on the passenger side fender well. The third is on the passenger side kick panel

Under the hood.pass side,front,next to washer bottle and ABS motor

On the right side kick panel,under glove box. Have to remove cover

In trunk,lift cover,left of battery.

try to rotate the engine by hand using appropriate socket and power handle at the engine drive pulley.if you can turn the engine freely then there is no engine problem.try to check the battery condition and lead wire going to the starter.If everything is ok then have your starter repaired
