My Ford Focus 1.8 TCci Diesel, the car miss firing when it idles and when u pull away it misses until the turbo comes on and then it is fine, it fels almost like its got a flat spot when u pull away

How clean is the air filter? Do a fuel pressure test to see if there is any problem with the pump.

hi you need to change the fuel pump seals, whats happening is there letting in air causing engine to cut out a commom fault with this vehicle.

CHECK THE SPARK PLUG +WIRE +COIL.TO THAT CYLINDER.IF ALL IS GOOD.DO A COMPRESSION TEST ON THAT CYLINDER. IT COULD BE MECHANICAL PROBLEM IN THAT CYLINDER.LEAKING VALVE OR INTAKE LEAK.

SOURCE: number one injector bank on 2006 dodge cummins

you'll notice on your valve cover gasket there is two connectors.. the one up front is your 1-3 the one in the rear is your 4-6... you can remove your valve cover and check the connections from the injector connectors to the
connectors on the valve cover.. check for an open.. however you could also have a fault internally in 1 of your injectors in that bank as well.. hope this info helped..

Car shaking at idle, no engine check light

Sounds to me that you have a cylinder miss fire. Chrysler products generally set a code when a miss fire is detected. Does the shaking go away under a load (while driving) ? If the miss is always there I would focus on the ignition system and look for any vacuum leaks around the intake manifold area .

I have a 2001 ford 550lx super diesel engine 7.3lt when the engine get hot it start missing and no power and when it cool it work fine .

check your turbo, i had the same problem in min but a 450 and i ended up replacing the turbo and it quit doing the missing. And had a retun of my power.

Put unleaded in diesel would have been about 10 litres of each did not no straight away till engine started missing

fill it right up with diesel and run as normal,you will suffer a hot start problem until all the gas is used up or refill when down to 1/2 tank.(the US army use petrol/gas in diesel for tanks in arctic conditions,(forget all the bullsh..about draining the system....if the army can use it so HAVE i when ive put gas in a diesel car(about 50 times,really)check out the canadian army tanks,if you don't believe me.also the UK army,and the chieftan is 60 MILLION QUID.

200 lincoln engine problem

I was having the same problem between 40 and 50 as well as the miss fires after changing a coil that was miss firing one it reached running temp. the problem vanished so check your coils.

could be bad glow plugs or plug heaters, faulty wiring to the coil, vacuum leak.
