My 95 Toyota Camry is making alot of noises when Im driving, It is a
manuls transmisson with front wheel drive sounds almost like drive shaft as gone dry, know nothing about front wheel drive
There are only a few things that will cause this noise. The first, and most common, is a bad CV (constant velocity) joint. The boot that covers the joint will inevitably dry out and crack, or bust, and at that point, the grease will dissipate, and leave the joint unprotected. That is when road grime, or dirt get in and wear the knuckle out of the joint, thus making the popping sound. You will need to have the affected axle replaced, keep in mind that there are two, one for each wheel. If that is not the issue, then you are looking at a bad wheel bearing, and that too will need to be replaced. Keep in mind that anytime you have work performed on a front wheel drive, minus the brakes, that you will want to have the front end re-aligned to avoid premature tire wear.
Could you tell us, is it a grinding noise, or knocking, or vibration, and does it come from the upper wheel hub or lower down near your feet?
