Check continuity on the injector terminals. if good use 12 volts to activate. you should hear a clicking sound.

Fuel-injected cars often experience clogs in the oil filter. This is especially a problem for cars that are filled up with low-quality gas and cars that have recently run out of gas. Try adding a fuel injector cleaner and filling up with premium gas for a couple weeks. In addition, check to see if the fuel injectors are functioning properly, and make sure the fuel pressure is within normal range.
For cars with carburetors, check the fuel pump. This is an essential part for fuel delivery, so it is the first thing to check when a car is hesitating during acceleration. It's also possible that the car is hesitating when accelerating because the carburetor is failing.
If the problem persists, have the spark plugs tested to see if there is a malfunction. Also inspect the wiring for frayed edges. Other things to check include the air filter, fuel filter, timing and gas leaks.

Vr4 won,t start was going an is turning over

It may not be getting fuel. You have to maybe look to changing the inline fuel filter or have the fuel pump itself checked for operation. The fuel pump is in the gas tank, but you can check fuel flow by separating the line at where it goes into the injectors. Put a plastic container under the line where separated and crank the engine a couple times and see if you have fuel flow. Often times the inline fuel filter gets gunked up by sediment from the gas tank and blocks fuel flow.

My 1989 mit. mighty max will not start. It is not the battery.

With a friend, crank it over and check for spark. If spark, ok. Crank over for 5 seconds or so then remove a plug or two and check for fuel, if fuel ok. Next it would have to be compression or timing. If no fuel I expect the ECU has failed (typical for late 80's early 90-'s mitsubishi's as capacitors in ECU were poor)
Use a set of NOID lights to check for injector pulse (if injected) No spark could be distributor components or if 3.0 V6 the distributor itself.

what you need to do is add some sulfur additive to the fuel to build the viscosity rateing and also check the glow plug realy itselfs to make sure when it fires that voltage is actaully getting to the glow plugs

It might be just the fuel issue.
Tight the fuel tank cap, change the gas station and use higher octane fuel, use fuel injector cleaner or octane booster.

Vr4 with miss and back fire under load

If this just started, maybe after a hard run, you may want to check your sparkplugs. I've melted the insulator on one of my plugs after a prolonged, spirited run causing same symptoms.
