2004 honda accord drivers power seat stuck in the down position.

The seat base rear does not go up and down. seat base front goes up and down, seat reclines and goes front to back just fine. I removed the seat and can see motor trying but not moving anything. Thinking the motor is bad?

SOURCE: HONDA ACCORD Seats Front Assembly Recliner went down and won't go up

I wouldn't ruin anything by trying things yourself

I would have a dealer check it out

The dealer I used in the past, has a seat specialist come

How do u remove the rear seat on 1196 honda accord?

The rear seat is four (4) pieces.
You will need two tools a 6mm and 8mm wrenches.
1.) Unbuckle the rear seat belts. 2.) Locate the bolt in the center part of the rear seat, between the cushion and the seat-back. Remove the bolt with a 6 mm socket wrench. 3.) Push down firmly on the front edge of the rear seat cushion and pull it toward you to unhook and remove the rear seat cushion. Push the seat belt stalks through the center holes and lift the cushion out of the Accord. 4.) Pull the lever on the side of the rear seat bolster to lower the rear seat-back, which must be in the down position to access its bolts. 5.) Slide the center seat belt toward the passenger side of the vehicle. Move the loop over the edge of the seat-back to prevent it from hindering removal. 6.) Remove the three bolts from the bottom edge of the rear seat-back, using an 8 mm socket wrench. One bolt is in the center; the other two bolts are on either side. 7.) Pull the rear seat-back out of the Accord. The remaining sections of the seat should be the two side bolsters. 8.) Remove the bolts from the bottom of the side bolsters with a 6 mm socket wrench. Push firmly against the first side bolster. Push it upward to slide it out of its mount. Repeat the process on the bolster on the other side to finish removing the Accord's rear seat.

This should take approximately 15-30 minutes depending hoe mechanically inclined a person is.

Hi Robert, Everyone starts somewhere! Detach the cable connectors under the seat and then remove the two bolts holding the front of the rail and the two from the rear. Remove the seat turn it upside down and have a look. I cannot tell what if anything is stuck there, it may be a defective motor. Regards John

Driver seat not moving back and forth

under the seat is a thin wire that goes from one side to the other it has most likely broke you need to find the secondary lock it was connected to and release it to move the seat but you must also release the main lock so i suggest replacing the wire . THIS IS FOR MANUEL SEATS
now as for power seats you will have to locate the power lead wire and make sure it is not broke if so you can replace the connecter with an aftermarket one and it may work again

Seat stuck

Most of the time its the little worm gear that went bad not the switch (the gear is slipping on the fixed bracket) I pushed back on the seat real hard and hit the switch and Mine went back finally, the track/motor assembly will have to be replaced(250 from Ford) Very Common problem . ----------------------- to remove the seat  First disconnect the connectors under the seat. Remove the 3 bolts (Front Left, Front Right, Rear Right). Remove the nut from the Left Rear. Lift seat up and out.

thanks.
