Check the owner's manual for directions on how to reset the TPMS. You may have to deflate to a certain pressure before filling to proper pressure. There may also be a tire learning mode tied into the odometer's trip meter button. Hope this helps.

SOURCE: TPMS light is on after tire change

you have tire pressure sensor that id's each tires pressure. After rotating or changing tire it must be reset to "see" pressure of each tire. Your user manual should have the proceedure. Each manufacturer is different.

Yes, when there is a trouble code it takes a certain number off on start cycles to reset the code on it's own. There isn't any issues in doing what your doing.
Thanks,

I have a 2009 Honda Accord EX3.5l v6 my TPMS light won't go off. How do I reset my TPMS light?

you might need to take it to a tire shop and see if you have a bad sensor. The sensors are operated by a battery and do go dead over time.

Flashing tire! light

i hate TPMS, , its the law so , dang Firestone/Ford bs.
the oper, guide answers this (poorly, for SURE).
on my car, flashing means one sensor is DOA. not yours.
but is covered far better in the FSM,
I disabled mine, but Im Evil,,,,,, and have shop air, and check tires , before each drive, and monthly... Kick the tires and light the fires...

on some cars, you can ask it, which sensor is bad. my 08 ,you cant.
so i killed mine. (spec. tools) on my car type 2012 you can ask.

here is your lost oper guide, lets look together to see, what we can do
and mere mortals.. (less each day in the nanny state)

btw, some major train subway cars had this, and had to be DEFEATED.
because it was so unreliable. it shut them down. horrid, history, ask.

all the stupid op guide says , is COMES ON, (what ever that means)
glows and not flashes, is better... huh?

why did you replace them all, the batteries inside all at end of life?
or wrong size tires. and wheels used.
or what is not stock.????
the sensors, must talk. (some have different frequency codes so dont by them off feabay and get wrong FREQ)
if they talk, then , it must have the correct pressure, or the TPMS will glow.
take it to the dealer they have a better scan tool just to find out
1: who dont talk or why one is reading wrong, and now its fixed

like my car, it has no, find which sensor is bad.
on my car the spare talks, so if spare is in homes attic, WRONG
my car has 5 sensors.
good your car has no 5th sensor, you are lucky.
page 295 is the only help (no FSM)
"significantly low", what a joke that is,,,,, on us.
"resets in several miles" more Bs. mine is 10miles. poor book .
http://justgivemethedamnmanual.com/honda/honda-accord-owners-manuals/

this book is hopeless
if light on, kick tires, if still on, drive to honda
what bull.
the short leash , really sucks,,, IMO...
when i sell my car, not likley ever, too old, i will reset the TPMS. to on.

oh and when the batteries die, (mine) $300 in parts, (discounted) and $100 labor, so $400 for a battery swap., not me, mine are gone.
over 90million in the field 1 brand. get rich quick for someone, by law too. sweet deal that is,,, wish i had a piece of that action!

How reset tpms on Honda accord 2009

To reset the tire pressure monitoring system AKA TPMS, take the following steps:
1. Put your vehicle in park on a level surface
2. Turn the ignition to ON
3. Press and hold the TPMS button until the TPMS light blinks twice-the collaboration will begin
4. It would take about 30 minutes of driving at speeds of 50 to 100 KMH for the calibration to finish
5. Once, done, the light will go away

Tire pressure light comes on

You shouldn't be setting the tire pressure to the max inflation pressure listed on the sidewall, that will likely result in uneven tire wear with the center of the tire wearing out prematurely. You should set the pressures according to the listings in the door jam. Most likely 32-34psi. Also, have you checked the spare tire? Some systems monitor and will illuminate the TPMS light if the spare tire pressure isn't within an acceptable range. The spare is often overlooked when checking tire pressures because of a TPMS indicator.

I replaced my 08 accord wheels with an 09 accord wheels

thank your gorvernment. they required auto makers to implement some sort of tire pressure monitoring system in all vehicles. More than likely what needs to be done is a re-initialization of the sensors. it will most likely need to be performed by a dealer.

TPMS Tire Pressure Monitoring System

Check ALL including the spare tire for proper air pressure. If all is well then check the fuse for the TPMS module. If all is well there, off to the dealer you may have to go.
