Follow the upper radiator hose to the engine, the thermostat is under the connection of the hose to the engine.

SOURCE: 2002 Pontiac Grand Prix Thermostat

as you face the engine the thermostat bell is on the right (drivers side) Follow the radiatoe hose. Remove the two bolts and raise the bell still attatched to the hose. the thermostat is there with the rubber seal. You can gently pry the thermostat out with a screwdriver or something similar. Put in new thermostat be sure it is the same as the old one, and then replace or change the seal (be sure it is the smae size and thickness as the old one as I got the wrong size from Napa) Then replace the bell, and tighten, but not over tighten. I hope this helps!

SOURCE: WHERE IS THE OIL PRESSURE SWITCH ON A 2005 PONTIAC

It is on the top of the engine near the throttle body. It is in the "valley" of the V8 engine, which might not make it immediately visible, but looks like it would be easy to access. It points upward out of the top of the engine, but is below the level of the intake runners. You'll have to remove the "engine beautification cover" to reach it.

SOURCE: where is the fuel filter on a 2006 pontiac grand p...

Pontiac stopped installing the fuel filter on the rail in 2006. The 2004-2005 models had a fuel filter on the driver's side under the rear passenger seat area clipped to the frame. 2006 beyond the fuel filter is part of the fuel pump unit inside the tank.

SOURCE: My 2006 Pontiac Grand Prix GXP heads up display

If you look through the windshield from outside the car on the drivers side you will find a hole where the Heads up Display projects from, there will most likely be a about 1& 1/2 inch spring laying in there loose. Most likely the plastic post that one end of the spring was attached to broke off. Some people just drill a small hole in the plastic near where the post broke off and just attach the spring there and it is good as new again. It is however quite a job getting the heads up display out to do this to it, and varries from car to car depending of year model and make as to how much of the dash has to be removed.

2006 Pontiac Grand Prix gxp overheats after only driving 10 to 15 miles the ac off for engine protection comes on then coolant hot mil comes on. What is the best suggestion for this fix?

First check to see if fan motors are working. If they are then sounds like new thermostat And after you put in new thermostat don't forget to bleed the air out of system with engine running. Bleed screws should be on manifold on front of engine. If you don't bleed the air out then it will overheat. I had same problem but the only thing I forgot to do after changing coolant and thermostat was bleeding the air. Good luck
