I love the person that use statistics to fix cars!
they get a list and replace parts on popularity. hark. !
Or failure rates in time.
are you rich or what?
You do know that cars do not read lists right? and that they do as they want, at ALL TIMES. (by the laws of physics)

the number one cause is the rusty horn bracket, that grounds the horn to the body. (rust happens)
is this a USA car? or where, some cars run 2 horns, if it has 2 and both are bad, we check the horn relay first.
not rip the flippn dash apart and need to deactivate the air bag system first. (or risk you damaging those clock spring parts)
If you get old like me, there is "no seldom", its only FATE
and abuse or more important if car is in the salt belt. (wiki that)
rust is #1 failure on all cars. (cept in my town)

next is collision damage and front is #1 and #1 .
or hacking some one hacked up the horn.
or installed an alarm.
why not learn to use any $10 DMM meter.
and see if you have 12v across the horn honked.
if yes, horn is bad. if not go to the relay next its close by,
why make it hard than i needs to be.
work from front to rear, to save LABOR.
NEVER THE REVERSE !

What is the problem with the horn, the relay is seldom the problem, the airbag/horn clockspring connector is the usual culprit.

Suzuki 2005 XL7 AIRBAG DOES NOT TURN OFF.What can be thy problem? Also horn stopped working. Is there any way this can be fixed.

it must be scanned
guessing does not work, sure inspection for damage wires
but Airbags are dangerous. news flash 22 killed in last few years. from bags, TAKATA?
are yours recalled>?>?>>>>>>??????
all things can be fixed, why ask that?
time and money are the limits only.
horn dead:
bad fuse "horn"
bad horn relay (if fitted, i didnt look)
bad horn
bad ground on horn (base rusty to frame) big time common.
bad wiring to horn.
bad horn button.

we use a magical tool called voltmeter to find it.,
ask if willing to test and not guess.

Suzuki XL7 -horn

The owner should locate the horn circuit . prepare the tools or equipment to be used.So that when the horn circuit is check it function properly.locate horn unit, horn relay, horn switch, horn power supply.check the fuse, check the relay, check the switch, check the wires, check the horn unit.Observe safety precautions.Use terms to describe checking horn circuit. If there are worn out or malfunctioning parts replace them.If there are loose connections of wires then reconnect it . But if the owner cant do it go to a car mechanic and the mechanic will do the job.
