HI. The clutch peddle on my citroen C4 1.6 HDI stays on the floorboard when pushed please help.

When clutch is pushed the peddle stays on the floor and i have to manualy lift it, then it stays up... if i use my hand and pump the clutch peddle a small bit of compression returns then i can change gears. please advise as to what the problem could be.

did you bleed it? there could be air in it and that causes a hydrolock in a sealed system. same with brakes.

Hi guys, have citroen relay '08' plate 2.2 hdi. is the clutch hydrolic or cable? also struggling to get reverse gear, all others no problem at all. any ideas?
It is hydraulic. Are you engaging 2nd gear prior to reverse to slow gear motion and ease reverse effort? Is the engine idle speed with specs?

It's either leaking out of the line from the M/C to the slave or it's leaking out of the slave

Check the floor by the clutch peddle if it is wet (you may need to look at the very top of the peddle)than you problem is the clutch mastercylinder

You are going to have to replace the master and slave cylinders for the hydraulic clutch, the seals have failed in the slave, but from past experience they should always been replaced as a pair.
