Sometimes there are plugs in the compressor when shipped. Make sure that there is nothing in the compressor where the line attach. How much oil did you put in the system. Compressor are shipped with oil in them. The correct way to measure would be to drain the oil compressor and measure that amount. Then drain the new compressor and compare the amounts. Put NEW oil in the new compressor. Remember the compressor can not compress liquids. It is possible that there is too much oil in the compressor.

How much freon goes in a 2000 nissan maxima my proble, is when my car is sitting still my compressor cuts off when i start back moving it start back blowing

As for how much freon, you'll get the coldest air letting them "pump" it to a pure "vacuum" and then fill it will 100% Freon (you never want to "top it off" ...which many do and somehow get away with it). I don't understand what you mean about the A/C compressor though. If it IS misbehaving most likely the sensor that tells it to pop on and off is likely worn out. (I don't have my Nissan info handy so that's as far as I can take you ...today anyway!) :=) Good luck.

How much freon goes into my 2000 nissan maxima i have some in there but when my car is not moving my compressor cuts off

Heres the problem, this car holds a total max amount of 25oz of feron (1lb 9oz). you dont know how much is in the system now and without gauges to read the highside and lowside you wont know how much to add, they sell the gauge with the yellow and green and red display but its not accurate. you just dont keep adding until its cold because will will damage the system. the right way is to have a certified ac tech to check and charge the system. there could be a small leak somewhere. to recarge the system correctly it must be evacuated and then vaccumed down then depending of how low the system is you add the right amount of oil. then you add a dye and the correct amount of freon to the system. the dye thats added is used to find the leak. when the system gets warm again there is a blue light and yellow glasses used to located the dye which will be where the leak is, after recharging and testing you then use a freon snifer to check all components and hoses for leaks. if this is something you cant afford at this time then you can try to recharge yourself but take note that just because the compressor is not on means its low on gas. make sure to get the little gauge the sell and read the directions so you dont overcharge the system. also dont use the sealer stuff they sell, only buy the freon with oil and dye in it and dont vercharge, watch the gauge they give you, you will be charging from the lowside which is the small valve, the hose will not fit on the highside, good day.

I just had an oil change and was told I have no freon in my 2005 Maxima. Does freon just run out after time by driving so many miles? Will not having freon in it a few more days cause any major damage if...

It can leak out over time through what are called Shrader Valves. They are replacable but they can and do leak. They are located where you put the freon in at the high side and low side ports. It can also leak out from the A/C compressor if the seals have failed. There are mane areas it can leak out from but the Shrader Valves are the most common places. AS LONG AS YOU DONT TURN THE A/C ON, YOU CAN'T CAUSE ANY DAMAGE. IF YOU TRY TO RUN THE A/C WITH A LOW CHARGE YOU WILL BURN UP THE A/C COMPRESSOR AND CONTAMINATE YOUR A/C SYSTEM AND WILL HAVE TO REPLACE A LOT MORE STUFF WHEN YOU DO GET IT FIXED. THE FREON IT WHAT MOVES THE LUBRICATING OIL THROUGH THE SYSTEM. SO JUST LEAVE THE A/C OFF UNTILL YOU IDENTIFY THE LEAK AND REPAIR IT.

Have problems with a/c not cooling on nissan maxima 1999 year .has good pressures on gages .not cooling inside ,doors on box seem too be working .compressor is working .any ideas on what maybe wrong

You say the pressures are good? The low side on this vehicle need to be lower than most, because it has a expansion valve,it needs to be around 30 psi,to about 35,if it is not,and the freon level is correct, then the expansion valve is bad.If this was helpful, please rate, thank you.

Low oil presure on gmc 5.3 manual gauge shows 0 psi at idle 20 psi driveing

Oh my!! I'm guessing the "oil pressure relief valve" is stuck open. Does the motor sound OK no knocking or ticking? The "oil pressure relief valve" is built into the oil pump.

Oil presure sending unit

Check, if the oil level is low, top off.
If the oil level was ok then you can replace the oil sending unit.

FILLING UP THE FREON IN MY 2000 NISSAN MAXIMA SE

2000 maxima is filled with R134, not freon. You don't need retro fit kit. Get couple of cans of R134 and pump it into the low side valve /small fiting, while A/C compressor is engaged. If your compressor is not coming on, jump the low side pressure switch to make the compressor come on and than the R134 will get sucked in to your system through the low side line. The proper way to do this is to put a/c system under vaccum for 15 minutes at least and watch for leak/gauges coming/loosing vaccum. Than pump R134 into the HIGH side valve with engine OFF.
