There may be an intermittent vacuum leak.
Inspect the intake manifold, power brake booster, and PCV system for any vacuum leaks.
Inspect the throttle-plate. If the throttle blade is bent or will not close, see if it will straighten using long-nosed pliers, otherwise the throttle body may need to be replaced.
Inspect the
MAP Sensor and Throttle Body for damaged seals & gaskets.
Inspect the engine for any mechanical conditions that can cause improper
engine vacuum, such as leaking/damaged seals & gaskets, coolant/water ingress.
Make sure there are no loose or missing bolts or blanking plates or cut or damaged hoses in and around the air/fuel intake system, which could cause the sensor to be triggered.
