You can possibly buy the belt for your model car that has no a/c. Just ask the clerk at the parts store for a belt for the vehicle that does not have a/c. If they do not sell one then you will have to take off the compressor and replace it with a pulley and braket. That is if they sell one for that particular vehicle.

How to bypass the ac pulley on a 2003 hyundai sonata

You can bypass the ac compressor by using a 82" belt. Feed the belt from the back of the engine at the water pump. Disconnect the power steering line at pump. It's a lot easier if you use some type of hook to hold/maneuver the belt. (I used a bent rebar) Follow this routing diagram I created. Bam! No more ac problems!

I just replaced the ac belt on my 2001 grandeur , the trouble is the belt is still loose i cant seem to find were to adjust the tension .

You will find that the air conditioning compressor is located at the lower section of the engine and the tension adjustment is located and accessed from the bottom.........you may have to raise the vehilce on jack stands to get access, and you will find that there is a black plastic cover to protect the crankshaft pulley from any debris might have to be removed also, to gain access......if you follow the belt around from the crankshaft pulley, you will find another pulley where the adjustment can be made......

2001 xg300 had lots of rain that i drove through, all of a sudden the battery light came on, runs for a bit then dies , boost dont seem to help, also the belt squeeks with or without the ac on

sounds like the alternator got soaked and fried it while you were driving, that would cause the dying and battery light, pick up a used on from a scrap yard and have yours rebuilt and that will take care of the battery light and dying part, as for the pulleys fixing the alternator problem might fix the squealing and if not use any good rust removing lubricant on them like wd40 or silicone lubricant and that will help with the squealing, just dont spray dirctly on the belt because it smells horrible until it burns off

I have a hyundai xg300 and my remote to control my alarm got wet and is ruined. When I open the car door the alarm goes off and disabled me being able to start my car. How can I bypass the alarm to start...

I had a similar problem. Eventually, I discovered that only the valet key would set the alarm off (The XG300 came with both a driver's key and a valet key. The valet key cannot open the trunk) Perhaps this could help prevent you from setting your alarm off in the future.
